⚫️🟡 The 3-Point Framework For Better Storytelling on Social Media

How to Create Irresistible Stories on Social

If you’re like me, you want to run your head through a wall every time you hear a marketing guru give you vague advice like, “Embrace Storytelling” without going any further.

Our industry is full of people who want to say ‘give value’ and ‘tell stories’ but then fail to tell you how.

So, after ramming my fifth espresso of the day, I put together a short video that breaks down the key components of telling a successful story on social media.

If you don’t want to watch the video, here’s the summary:

1. You need to grab attention/give context in the first three seconds. This is when you attract/repel people to find your audience.

2. Start building curiosity loops. You have to tease/build tension through your content so the viewer wants to stick around to see how it’s resolved.

3. Deliver in one post - your brand is not a series on HBO and people won’t be checking in next week to follow along. The audience contract on social media is different than television: people swipe, expecting to see a full story in one piece of content.

Check out the in-depth breakdown of each of these in today’s video.

Until next week,
Jordan
