⚫️🟡 The 4 Part Framework for Brands to Leverage Trends

Stay on time, and on brand with these tips.

When the internet is all talking about the same thing, it pays to be able to tastefully insert your brand into the conversation.

Below are two posts, 11 years apart, that both nail it and, in the process, create millions of impressions for the brands.

Post #1: KitKat is responding to the Crowdstrike outage, which took out the majority of computers using Microsoft software.

Post #2: Oreo created a post during the Super Bowl (2013) during a power outage.

These posts use the same four-part framework to achieve virality without diluting their brand.

Acknowledge: Mention what’s happening without letting it take over the post.

Action: Tell the viewer the action they should take because of the larger event taking place.

Placement: Include your product clearly in the post so your product stays at the heart of the discussion.

Speed: KitKat posted this within an hour of Microsoft’s outage, and Oreo posted this during the power outage.

I hope you found this useful and see you next week.

Cheers,
Jordan
